The workbook walks participants through a Jim Knight-style instructional coaching impact cycle, including an overview of coaching stages, partnership principals, overall checklist, pre-observation questionnaire, setting a PEERS goal, tips for encouraging teachers to explore the use of video in coaching, guide for teachers watching themselves on video, next steps once a strategy is chosen, perceptual errors to avoid, three ways to teach/model new strategies to teachers, coaching conversation techniques, and scaffolding your thinking as a coach. If you’re not sure where to start but know you want to be an effective coach, this is my go to resource for starting off on the right foot.
