Professional Learning Communitees are important. Instilling the need and benefits of collaborative planning can be daunting, especially for estabilished staffs. This PLC guide created a quick, engaging opportuinty for staff members to see the importance of working together and how different approaches to problems can help reach all students. It helped teachers who are in the “We’ve never done it that way” mindset be open to looking at new approaches and adding new tools to their toolbox. It gives meaning to that time PLCs are taking from their planning time. This guide provided a good introduction to beginning Collaborative Planning. It includes questions to ponder to set the stage, two engaging activities to build the purpose and point, questions for discussion, and reflection questions to wrap-up.
