You’ve been in classrooms all
week. You took notes. You had every intention of following up. But then the
week happened and by Friday you couldn’t remember which classroom needed what
conversation.

That’s not on you. Schools don’t
slow down long enough for walkthroughs to turn into action on their own.

You already know what great
instructional leadership looks like. This is how you make it visible in your
building, week after week.

Teachers and students deserve a
principal who follows through. This is how you do that.

You walk in a classroom. You click
a dropdown. Green means yes. Yellow means partial. Red means not yet. Gray
means not observed. You’re done in minutes.

When you and your AP sit down
together, the data is already organized before you ever sit down to debrief.
The patterns are already visible. You know which indicator is strongest, which
needs attention, and what your next staff message should be.

You finish your walkthroughs and
the next step is already waiting for you. A six-step path built right in. Focus
area. Current reality. Desired state. Action steps. How you’ll know it’s
working. What changed. Every walkthrough connects to the next one.

When it’s time to talk to your
staff, the data shows you exactly what to say.

Built around literacy indicators,
but the framework works for any instructional focus your building is
prioritizing. Math. Culture. Engagement. The structure stays the same. You swap
the indicators.

What principals say after using
it: “Coming out of a room, the tracker is helpful for noting their presence or not. When we meet, it re-grounds us for a deeper conversation about trends that allow us to plan for building-wide professional learning. It’s flexible, those practices can be inserted based on your priorities.” —
Thomas Szczesny, Principal, Jeffco Public Schools, Colorado
