Welcome to The Principal Exchange! Weโre Andra and Sarah, the founders of TPE. Weโve spent our lives in the public school system, supporting teachers. Two years ago, we launched Tailored Education to broaden our services, make a bigger impact, and take control of our lives (thatโs a story for another day).
In doing so, weโve had time to take a deep dive into the world of support for educators. Weโve researched, created, supported, and grown so much over the last two years, but one thing kept coming back around to us…
Teachers have so much support and so many resources available. (Donโt get us wrong, we know it’s a difficult, taxing, and exhausting job), but there is support everywhere for teachers. Principals? Not so much…
Principals feel like they are on an island most of the time, even in their buildings. They may have an AP or instructional coach, but at the end of the day, thereโs only one principal and a long list of things to do. We started searching everywhere, trying to find a place where principals could taste a little of the support others get, but we couldnโt find it.
So, we decided to change that! We have created TPE as a place for principals to find support. We want to offer a community for principals to come to find resources, PD sessions, data trackers, and so much more. We want principals to regain some of the time and effort they spend making resources, organizing data, preparing PD, and planning for appreciation days. And if theyโre interested in being a vendor, they can make some extra money too! TPE offers a place for principals to buy and sell directly from other principals in hopes of creating a community of support, creativity, and partnership that crosses schools, districts, and even states.
